I have realized I am a bigger fan of the Utah Jazz than any other team. I will read news about them all times of the year and always want to know what's going on. BYU Football is next followed by USA Men's National soccer team followed by Real Salt Lake and BYU Basketball. The Utah Jazz are win by a lot though, it's not even close. For me it's been a somewhat dull time with sports. The NBA & NHL playoffs are going on but my team is out. Miami Heat just advanced after beating the Indiana Pacers in Game 6 last night advancing them to the Eastern Conference Finals. The NBA lottery is next week and I'm hoping the Toronto Raptors can win one of the top-3 picks so the Golden State Warriors get bumped down and the Utah Jazz can have a high draft So, to liven up the day. Here's the top 10 dunks of the NBA season. They are pretty sick: It's probably a crazy idea to blog about sports on a site dedicated to all of my interests and my interests focus mainly on the NBA, the Utah Jazz especially, Real Salt Lake, USA soccer and BYU football and soccer. I do form some opinions though about MLB and the NFL, particularly playoff time and I have played all of the above sports so I know something about them all. It will be fun to see what comes up and what there is to talk about. Anything goes, but the reader is warned as to what is important to me. Jimmer's been getting a lot of scrutiny and recent praise. Here's a sweet video on why he should be drafted by the Jazz. Today I saw a video that makes me emotional even though I'm not a fan of the team or have ever really cared about them that much. But for some reason, watching the radio guys and the coach and the fans and the passion and love their have for their NBA team, the Kings, really affects me and I feel a very strong emotional connection. It's a real sorrow and gratitude that we all feel in our lives, especially when we've given our all to something and now we feel it's coming to an end. It's a crazy feeling but fascinating and brings a strong desire to do good and to continue to have relationships that are meaningful, even if it's just towards a sport team. It's a real emotion, a real investment, a real connection, and can teach us some things if we listen. The Kings might have played their last game in Sacramento before moving to Anaheim. I will not use this blog much, but I will make some comments that matter to me or that I'd like to bring up about Sports. sports teach wonderful life lessons and bring excitement, fun, and disappointment to life. I am grateful for them and am a loyal fan to my teams: BYU Cougars (football and men's basketball), Lone Peak High School, Utah Jazz (basketball), Real Salt Lake (soccer), Salt Lake Bees (baseball), and USA soccer as well. Those are my favorite teams to cheer fo.
