Cadi-Moixero Natural Park is located in the Pyrenees (the mountain range separating France from Spain) close to Andorra in the north-west corner of Spain known as Catalonia.
Ebla National Park is Egypt's most biodiverse area located in the southeast corner on the border of the Red Sea and Sudan. It is a mist oasis, meaning that the water source is the mist that forms on the mountains allowing plants to grow. The highest peak is Gebel Elba, after whom the park is named, and it can receive 400 mm of water a year due to its large side facing the Red Sea causing the large quantity of mist and clouds that form there. Because of this this protectorate has a different ecosystem than that found anywhere else in Egypt. I love learning about new people and places and my budget does not always allow me to travel. This blog will be dedicated to posting about one new location on this planet--hopefully lesser known, but maybe not--via photos, news, encyclopedic information, interviews, etc once a day 5 days/week. I want us all to learn about the places that exist but we are all unable to see or know. Thank you for being a part of New Place a Day! |
